MATTHEW CHIU Corporate Sales Manager What does your role at Mercedes-Benz Parramatta involve? My role includes a variety of tasks such as quote procurement for leasing companies, ensuring corporate deals meet their criteria and engaging corporate clientele to expand our database. However, I believe that the most integral part of my role is to be a supporting member to the whole sales team. Can you tell me what you did before working at Mercedes-Benz Parramatta? I studied a BA majoring in Psychology at Macquarie University. I have a background in retail sales and real estate, and I worked in both fields while studying. What does the Mercedes-Benz brand mean to you? Mercedes-Benz represents the pinnacle of luxury, safety and performance. I believe the Mercedes- Benz brand has always had positive connotations of luxury and it is the true representation and embodiment of success. What are some of your hobbies/activities outside work? I love almost everything to do with basketball. I play every Tuesday and Wednesday after work as well as going to the gym twice a week to ensure my body is in top shape to compete at a high level. I also enjoy binge watching TV shows on Netflix; I once watched all the episodes of House in an extremely short period of time. What is your favourite Mercedes-Benz vehicle and why? It would be the E 400 Coupé. It’s subtle, luxurious, has stunning looks, has power on demand and is arguably one of the most advanced vehicles we produce. KEYVAN FAGHIHI Showroom Manager What does your role at Mercedes-Benz Parramatta involve? As the Showroom Manager, my primary role is to ensure the showroom is always presented to the Mercedes-Benz standards. I also brief all sales executives on a daily basis so they can perform to the best of their ability. Can you tell me what you did before working at Mercedes-Benz Parramatta? I travelled alone to Australia in late 2010 to study my Masters of Science. My first job after I graduated was working as a sales person and then sales manager at King of Knives, but I always had an interest in the automotive industry. One of my friends suggested that I start as a car sales executive and I took his advice. I applied for for a position at Mercedes-Benz Parramatta, and after a successful start have never looked back. What does the Mercedes-Benz brand mean to you? Mercedes-Benz was the first vehicle to ever be made, and that is why I respect the brand so much. It is one of the most well-known and trusted brands in the world. I believe this brand is a sign of success. What are some of your hobbies/activities outside work? In my spare time I love to play the piano at home. I'm also into photography and videography, so if the weather is nice I enjoy going out and taking some snaps.
