12 WINTER2019 The all-day breakfast includes staples like muesli, toast (sourdough, fruit and of course smashed avo), as well as the one-hand-on-the-wheel Tradie Roll — double bacon, fried egg, with house BBQ or tomato sauce served conveniently on a panini. If you’re watching what you eat then the range of “Salads and Things” features up a Morning Bowl, with kale, avocado, quinoa and beetroot hummus amongst sprouts and seeds. You’ll also find tofu rice-paper rolls and a Ploughman’s Picnic to take over to the park. When it comes to lunch there’s no airs or graces – the menu is heavy on burgers including the Cheesy, Big Mike (you can double it for an extra $3), Chicken and a vegetarian option with mushroom. All come served with Old Bay fries. There’s a range of organic wine and craft beer to wash it all down with if you’ve already passed your coffee time. A special section on the menu for the kids, the Little Tuckers, features the ubiquitous chicken nuggets, along with bacon sandwiches and banana bread to name a few. If you’re conscious about your food miles then you can rest assured Tuckshop have thought this through, with all meat used from nearby Kenthurst, the organic fruit and vegetables from Dural, and eggs supplied from Kellyville.
